Our CUSTOM HOME BUILDING Process
How It Works
STEP 1
Choose Land
We recommend choosing land first in the process to make sure we design a dream home that will fit the property and more importantly, your budget!
If you already own land or have one in mind, great! If not, we’ll work with you to find land. Many times, we have available land that we can share with you. We also work with realtors and developers to know about upcoming land. Regardless of your situation, we’re here to help you.
STEP 2
Design Floor Plan
Now that you’ve chosen a piece of land, we can start designing your dream home. If you already have a finished floor plan or have some ideas together, we’ll work with you to finalize them for the chosen piece of land.
If you need inspiration for floor plans, don’t worry! We have plenty of floor plan options available that we can share with you. If you like any of them, or bits and pieces, we can tailor any of them to fit your needs.
STEP 3
Financing
Knowing your budget at the very beginning of the process is key to being successful at finding land and designing your house plans, but securing financing won’t come until step 3 in the process.
If you need assistance securing new home construction financing, we have preferred loan officers at Gateway Mortgage Group that will be happy to help you. They offer low rates and one-time close construction loans.
STEP 4
Start Home Construction
Now the fun part, bringing your dream home to life! On average, it takes 6-8 months to build and we’ll be on the home site daily to make sure your home is crafted to perfection.
While building, we’ll be in constant communication with you to share progress updates. We also understand you may want changes or upgrades along the way, and we’ll do our best to make them happen. After all, this is your dream home!

On average, it takes us 6 to 8 months from start to finish. There are many factors that may impact the build timeframe including size of home and bad weather.
Yes, we have many plans you can choose from where each one was custom drawn with our architect. If you like bits and pieces of our different plans, or if you would like to start from scratch, we are happy to draw a custom plan with you!
We think the better question is for you – what exactly do you want? We can include as much or as little as you want. Part of our process for customization is multiple sit-down meetings to understand exactly what you want and getting down to every single fixture you like and want included. This will ensure you are not constantly paying out of pocket later for upgrades, and you know exactly what’s included upfront.
We provide new home warranty coverage on all our home builds, which includes 1-year workmanship & materials, 2-years systems and 10-years of structural coverage.
Absolutely! You should never feel boxed in or be penalized for changing your mind. Whether a big or little change, we will work with you to make your dreams come true even when those dreams may change.
